New Possibilities
If Alexander Graham Bell had told the average person on the street that it was possible to talk to others hundreds of miles away through a machine prior to his inventing the telephone, they would have laughed and called him a lunatic! Most amazing new inventions and medical breakthroughs throughout history incurred staunch opposition before becoming widely known and accepted.
Today, since there have been so many new scientific, technological and medical advances, when something new comes out, we don’t really question it as long as it falls into technological or scientific categories. We don’t question such new advances. We expect them! However….The average person like those in times gone by, will still react cynically when you tell them that there are powerful short programs and consulting services that can make foreign policymakers and negotiators consistently capable of solving our major international challenges! They will argue that the problems are complicated with many difficult obstacles and that many top experts have had great difficulty. Most human beings will not readily accept anything that does not fit into their current reality without overwhelming proof!
