The problem is that the challenges we face are not only numerous and very complex, the level of conscious awareness required to solve them is generally not sufficient. This is a human problem especially when the challenge involves relationships. The Good News The human potential movement developed over the last 35 years a variety of special 2 and 3 day programs that have proven to produce breakthrough results for individuals and Fortune 500 companies seeking a whole array personal and business solutions. While many people throw around the cliche known as "Thinking outside the box", companies within the human potential field have actually developed potent programs that transform people into "out of the box" thinkers who become highly effective in their fields of endeavor. Their ability to relate and recognize solutions is magnified. A few months ago, after many months of discussions with numerous US, UN and foreign officials, the Organization for International Cooperation started advocating these programs throughout the diplomatic community worldwide. In just a few months several foreign ambassadors at the UN and in Washington have expressed serious interest in these programs. Summary Being a citizen of New Jersey not only means we are more vulnerable than many other Americans, it also means we are geographically accessible to many influential foreign, UN and US government officials. Most people do not realize the influence they can have on elected officials and foreign officials as well. Embassy personnel, State Department officials and officials of the UN Secretariat frequently meet with private US and foreign citizens in addition to members of numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) like the Organization for International Cooperation. In New Jersey Congressman Donald Payne is on the House Committee for Foreign Affairs and New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez is on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Both are in a position to support new initiatives and likely would if they heard from enough NJ citizens. We can make diplomacy infinitely more effective through new ontology based programs from the human potential field. We can substantially increase our homeland security in New Jersey and across the nation. There are likely numerous volunteer programs that can be initiated so that all of us can do our part to increase our state and national security. When I think of how vulnerable we are in New Jersey, how many times diplomacy has failed to protect us and how many people died on 9/11, I know that we must all reach out beyond our day to day tasks and get involved. We should not forget that each us has a right and an obligation to speak out against ill conceived foreign policies and inadequate homeland security measures. The most important things that no New Jersey citizen should ever forget are that our political leaders have our children's future in their hands, their track record on security has not been encouraging, our diplomacy has been ineffective and that each of us has something valuable to contribute to our local and national security. The Organization for International Cooperation is a non-profit, non-partisan all volunteer organization based in Marlton, NJ. New Jersey citizens interested in volunteering or joining OIC should call 856-596-6679 for information or see our web-site which is www.oicworldpeace.org
